About me
Jordan Luke Shepard
Born and educated in South Africa, I attribute my love of photography to the opportunities I was afforded at Westville Boys’ High School under the mentorship of one of my teacher’s, Paul Lichkus.
Not only was I able to make use of an array of high-level equipment but I was also guided, encouraged, and inspired by the members of the photography task team at the school.
My free time was spent shooting sport events and other school functions, the resultant images being used to showcase the school in various media. Trips to the bush in every school holiday allowed me to develop my interest in wildlife photography and today that is where my particular passion lies.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Biodiversity and Ecology from Stellenbosch University and aspire to build a career that combines my passion for photography with raising awareness about the delicate balance of the natural environment and its inhabitants. My goal is to convey this message through visually striking and artistic imagery.
I hope to showcase my work on this website from time to time, with that intention foremost in my mind.
